Pick this tour! There are several options for river tours; I'm glad I chose this one! The retired fireboat is very cool, and the guide was great! Also, this is a veteran owned business 👍 Highly recommend!

We picked this hidden gem after seeing people packed like sardines on other boats. The whole crew was down to earth and friendly. Our guide, Cliff, was humorous and knew a lot about the city. I highly recommend supporting this veteran owned business.

Tour made me love Chicago more than before Beautiful day; right on time; great personable crew; the views of the buildings wonderful; our tour guide Chris is the best tour guide I've ever heard. Five stars.

Colorado family visits beautifu Chicago Our family had an amazing time on the Fire Boat River and Lake Tour. I booked this particular tour because our son is a firefighter and I thought this would be a special treat for him. The crew was amazing! The seating was comfortable and the boat was spacious. A nice number of people, not too crowded. Cliff was our guide and he was fun and knowledgeable. He also gave a shout out to our son, which was a nice gesture. I would would recommend this tour. The price is similar to other tours offered. The boat is a cool piece of history and there was a bar, with a great bartender! Thank you Cliff and crew for a wonderful day!

Fireboat tour was AMAZING! I HAD THE BEST TIME!!! I was not sure how it would go. We mostly went because my friend late father was a fireman. I mean everyone on the boat was fantastic especially our guy magical Manny, my friend had a boot because she recently had foot surgery and delivered her iced coffee to her. The tour guide cliff bell what a gem!!! He asked us if he could hear him okay and asked if we need to turn up or down the volume. We had a lovely chat with him he's informative and funny and also sings songs if you let him. The boat was perfect and intimate and not like those huge boats that didnt know most of the Chicago River lore with like hundred or more people. I cannot recommend this place enough they treat us so well and I would go back everytime I visit Chicago!

Great time onboard Cliff was amazing! The tour was wonderful, and he was a wealth of knowledge. I only brought a light sweatshirt, and he offered me a crew jacket. However, being from Texas and 100+ degree heat, I was enjoying the chill in the air. We got stuck at the locks waiting for the fireworks barge, but no complaints here! More time on the boat... Yes, please!

Experience History and Fun Aboard the Bold Red Fireboat that Served Chicago I am so grateful to have chosen this boat tour! Even as a tourist the crew made me feel like I am a part of Chicago history aboard the fireboat. The historical value and excitement of waving spectators made it an unforgettable tour. As I walked off the boat I felt a fondness and appreciation for the vessel that is hard to describe, you just have to feel it. This excursion should be put at the top of your “things to do in Chicago” list.

Unique and fun Took a group of out-of-town friends on the noon tour. After easy check in and free group photo, we sat at the very front. The smaller size and history of the boat were very relaxing and intersting. Since the boat is docked on the lake, you first get a great view of the skyline, then enter the lock for a trip up the river to the Kinzie Street bridge. Friendly bar and additional seating in back. Narrator Cliff does a wonderful job combining history, trivia, and humor. The friendly crew make this a great option to the bigger tour boats. Use the nearby DuSable Parking Lot, hidden under the overpass.

An informative, fun, and unique tour experience! In an oceans worth (or Lake Michigans worth, as it were) of river tours, this particular group offers the unique experience of touring the architecture along Chigago River on an historic vessel- one of the cities own retired fireboats! This veteran-owned, veteran-ran company provided an experience that was one of the highlights of my multi-day visit to Chicago.

He called out items of note for those seated at the bow and the stern, no one in the crowd felt left out. The cost was comparable to other tours, but with the added historical significance of the tour vehicle and the business being veteran ran and veteran owned, the Chicago Fireboat Tours was an easy first choice.
