Join our expert docents to learn about Chicago’s world famous architecture, as well as the history of our boat with Chicago and it’s Fire Department. Our boat also serves as a floating museum showcasing photographs of the boat in action, firefighting artifacts, and giving a glimpse of what is was like to be a firefighter stationed on the boat. We’ll see how Chicago’s landscape along the river has developed over time, going from stockyards to steakhouses, and bringing millions of tourists to a once desolated area which is now thriving. Our guided lake and river historical tours depart from DuSable Harbor at 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. They are underway for 90 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the schedule of the Chicago locks.
